Ginseng Rootlets | The Delicate Roots of a Traditional Herb
When people think of ginseng, they often picture its thick main root. However, a ginseng plant also develops many fine and slender rootlets around its main root. After cleaning and drying, these delicate roots become what is commonly known as Ginseng Rootlets.
Fine in appearance and ranging from pale yellow to yellowish-white, Ginseng Rootlets carry the natural aroma of ginseng. Although they differ in shape from the main root, they remain part of the long-standing tradition of ginseng.Traditionally, Ginseng Rootlets are used in soups, herbal teas and traditional herbal preparations, making them an easy way to incorporate ginseng into everyday dietary practices.
Even a small rootlet can offer a glimpse into the long history and culture of ginseng.
