Dang Gui is a well-known traditional herbal material with a long history of use in Chinese herbal culture.The root has an irregular cylindrical shape and is usually composed of a main root with several smaller branches. After drying, it develops a natural brownish appearance and a distinctive herbal aroma.

For generations, people have observed the characteristics, aromas and forms of plants and incorporated different herbs into traditional dietary practices and herbal formulations. Dang Gui is one of the herbs that has continued through this tradition.

In traditional herbal practice, Dang Gui is commonly associated with nourishing and invigorating the blood, supporting menstrual balance and maintaining moisture. It is also a familiar ingredient in traditional soups and herbal formulations.
