Bai Zhu | A Herb Associated with Strength and Grounding
For generations, people have looked to nature for herbs suitable for traditional daily use, long before the wide range of health products available today. Bai Zhu is one of the traditional herbal materials that has been used for generations.
Bai Zhu has an irregular, knobby rhizome with natural surface markings. After drying, it becomes firm in texture and develops a distinctive herbal aroma. In traditional herbal practice, Bai Zhu has been used in formulations associated with supporting the Spleen and Qi, as well as managing dampness and fluid balance. It is also a familiar ingredient in many traditional herbal formulations.
